Privacy Policy

MIZAN Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MIZAN, an independent platform operated by MizanSeo LLC, collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. MizanSeo LLC is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Privacy inquiries can be sent to wecare@mizanseo.com.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the MIZAN website, platform, and features, including SEO Audit, Keyword Research, Rank Tracking, Monitoring, Competitor Analysis, E-commerce SEO, AI Content, and other SEO analysis and optimization services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

We may collect your name, email address, authentication information, language preference, and other account information needed to provide the Service.

Website information

When you add a website to MIZAN, we process the website address and pages that you authorize the platform to analyze, together with crawl results, audit findings, recommendations, and reports. MIZAN uses its own crawler to collect SEO information from websites the user asks the platform to analyze.

Google data

If you choose to connect Google Search Console, MIZAN requests read-only access to the Search Console data necessary for user-facing features. Depending on the features used, this may include property information, search queries, pages, dates, clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), average position, and dimensions such as country and device.

MIZAN accesses this information only after you initiate the connection and grant consent through Google. We do not request broader Google permissions than those necessary for the features currently provided.

Google authentication data

When you connect Search Console, MIZAN may retain OAuth credentials needed to maintain the connection and synchronize the service, including access tokens and refresh tokens when issued by Google. Authentication tokens are encrypted before storage and are not exposed to other users or sent to the browser.

Payment information

Payments are processed by PayPal. MIZAN does not store payment card numbers or card security codes. We may retain transaction information needed to manage subscriptions, such as payment status, amount, and transaction ID.

Technical and security information

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate the platform, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors. Where appropriate, security systems may use a derived or hashed identifier instead of retaining a raw IP address.

3. How We Use Google Data

We use Google Search Console data only to provide or improve prominent, user-facing MIZAN features, including search performance analytics, reports, search performance analysis, rank-tracking features, and SEO recommendations.

MIZAN may store Google data when necessary for users to view historical results or operate related features. Storage and use are limited to what is necessary to provide and improve the MIZAN features available to the user.

We do not use Google data:

  • To sell, rent, license, or otherwise monetize it for third parties.
  • To build advertising audiences or target users with advertising.
  • For personalized, interest-based, or retargeted advertising.
  • To determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
  • To train generalized artificial intelligence or generalized machine-learning models.
  • For purposes independent of providing or improving user-facing MIZAN features.

Our employees and contractors are not permitted to access Google data merely for inspection. Human access may occur only in limited circumstances, such as security investigations, necessary technical troubleshooting, or legal compliance, and only to the extent necessary.

4. Sharing Google Data and Other Information

We do not sell user data and do not transfer Google data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

Data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf to operate MIZAN, including hosting and database providers, PayPal for payments, and Google services when the user chooses to connect them. We do not permit service providers to use Google data for purposes independent of the services they provide to MIZAN.

If you use AI Content, information that you enter into that feature may be sent to Google Gemini to generate the requested result. Google Search Console data is not sent to Gemini for generalized model training, and MIZAN does not use Google data to train generalized AI models.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of sensitive OAuth credentials, protection of server-side secrets, and access controls for account and website data.

No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information, website information, tool results, and other data as long as reasonably necessary to provide the user's account and the features the user uses.

Google Search Console data and historical results may be retained for as long as necessary to provide user-facing analytics, reports, and historical tracking features, or until the user requests deletion, subject to legal and security requirements.

When a user disconnects Google Search Console, MIZAN revokes the connection with Google where possible and deletes the Search Console connection data associated with that connection in accordance with its deletion procedures.

7. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and data, or request deletion of data associated with a Google service, by contacting wecare@mizanseo.com.

When a valid deletion request is processed, we delete personal and service data associated with the account, except where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

8. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and may ask how your information is used, by contacting wecare@mizanseo.com.

9. Cookies

MIZAN uses cookies and similar technologies where necessary for sign-in, interface preferences, service functionality, and security. MIZAN does not use Google data to create advertising profiles or for personalized advertising.

10. Third-Party Services

MIZAN may rely on third-party services to operate parts of the platform, including Supabase for authentication, database, and backend services; Google Search Console when the user chooses to connect it; Google Gemini when the user uses content-generation features; and PayPal for payment processing.

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. MIZAN does not authorize those providers to use Google data for advertising or data sales.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MIZAN services, legal requirements, or regulatory requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page and the effective date will be updated when material changes are made.

Google API Disclosure

MIZAN uses Google APIs, including Google Search Console, to provide SEO features after the user's explicit authorization. Google data processing is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and applicable Limited Use Requirements, and is limited to the practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
