How Mizan works
Six steps on repeat: discover, explain, prioritize, recommend, execute and monitor.
- 1
Discover
The crawler starts at your homepage, reads robots.txt and your sitemap, then follows internal links within page and time limits. It respects robots.txt, never reaches private networks or internal addresses, and stops at clear time limits.
- 2
Explain
Every issue is shown in plain language: what we found and why it affects your visibility, with evidence extracted from the page and the affected URLs.
- 3
Prioritize
Each check has a severity (critical, high, medium, low) and a weight. Critical problems come first, and the score shows where you lose the most.
- 4
Recommend
Practical fix steps for every issue, plus suggested titles, descriptions and content from the content studio and e-commerce tools.
- 5
Execute
You apply fixes on your site or platform, then re-audit to confirm.
- 6
Monitor
We take scheduled snapshots, compare them and alert you in the app when titles, indexability, robots.txt or broken links change.
How the score is calculated
- Each check’s effective weight = severity weight × check weight.
- Site-level checks pass or fail. Page-level checks lose points in proportion to affected pages.
- A critical issue always loses at least half its weight, even on a single page.
- Category score = points earned ÷ total weight. Categories without data show “Unavailable” and are excluded.
- Overall score = average of available categories, weighted by category weights.
| Critical | ×5 |
|---|---|
| High | ×3 |
| Medium | ×2 |
| Low | ×1 |
| Technical SEO | 20% |

| On-Page SEO | 18% |
| Content | 12% |
| Links | 10% |
| Performance | 10% |
| Structured Data | 5% |
| International SEO | 5% |
