How the free audit works and its limits
One free audit per domain: what counts as a domain, how many pages we crawl, and what happens if an audit fails.
One audit per domain
The free audit is available once per domain. These all count as the same domain:
example.comandwww.example.comhttp://andhttps://- Upper/lower case, trailing slashes, and any path or parameters after the domain
Other subdomains such as shop.example.com count as separate domains.
Audit size
The free audit crawls up to 25 pages starting from the homepage, plus robots.txt, the sitemap and a sample of links.
If the audit fails
If we can’t reach the site (for example a timeout or certificate error), the audit doesn’t count and you can try again later.
After the free audit
Re-audits and additional websites are part of the annual subscription.
